Crede che ciò porrebbe fine all’invasione su vasta scala dell’Ucraina da parte della Russia.

Well it all helps.
This will starve the Russian war machine and perhaps crash their economy, but Putin will wage this war as long as he is able. He does not care about human life or the suffering of his own people.
He must be forced to either withdraw his troops from Ukraine and perhaps survive, or see his nation broken up in a civil war and be remembered as the man who destroyed Russia.
I’m struggling to understand how this will end the war?
Yet he wanted to keep oil prices high during a global pandemic (causing crazy inflation) and brought King Abdullah together with Putin to artificially keep prices high. From his own logic, he caused the war in the first place.
Doesn’t the vast majority of US oil imports come from Canada and Mexico (the two countries he is trying his hardest to start a trade war with)?
Can’t wait to hear my dad applauding such an insightful observation from Trump: “Hey do you know what’s actually driving Russia’s genocide of Ukrainian people? Gas prices!”
It’s absolutely not going to be war ending, but anything to cripple Russia’s economy and shrink their capacity for war helps. Ukraine just needs to keep blowing up Russian oil refineries and ammo depots until there’s nothing left.

Realistically there has to be something beyond the President asking OPEC to pump more. It didn’t work for Biden when visiting Saudi Arabia (yes I know MBS hates him) but why would it work for Trump? Saudi Arabia need to wind back their self imposed reductions to lower prices. They have delayed it again and again.
The USA will have to increase supply a lot. Venezuela and Iran are not getting sanctions relief or anything like that under Trump, which is one way to greatly increase supply in a 2-3 year timescale.
Lower oil prices? So, lower profits for US (and every) oil companies. Less capital leads to less investment in drilling programs and infrastructure. This will eventually result in lower production and force oil prices up.

He’s trying a non violent way which ok, be my guest so long as it doesn’t sell out Ukraine. He will probably have to come to grips that the only way to achieve peace is through military means.
The best times for this dude was in the Cold War era. As much as some people like to think about him as a modern ‘sigma male’, he is a boomer. So he is trying to reintroduce you with the basics of a cold war mentality. Instead of dealing a lethal blow to the US old rival once and forever, he tries to revive old rivalry because his best times were during the USSR existence.
Trump’s right for once, lower oil prices would end the war sooner.
But is Saudi Arabia willing to take the profit loss as well? I doubt it without something in return.
Since the USA is the largest oil producer, if Trump want to lower the global oil price he just has to offer good conditions on loans and tax breaks to USA companies and release the export limitations and actually flood the market. With a minimal effort the price can go as low as 30$ per barrel and see all producers but Saudi cry ugly. If he ask others is because there is nothing behind the threat and he can blame the failure of the initiative to OPEC.
