Abur cubur significa cibo spazzatura in turco.

abur yes, cubur no, whatever that means
Abur is soup
I love the different in Eastern/Western Armenian dialect. As soon as I saw ‘abur’ I understood it’s Western because I would say ‘apur’.
Abur means vapor/steam in Romanian.
yes, abur means soup.
In Western Armenian we say chapir-chupur for splashing, like splashing water at one another in a pool.
Abur/apur is soup
Hence dishes like tanapur with his tan (ayran/doogh) soup
In Armenian we often repeat the word to give it a more general meaning or to lower it’s importance. I’m not a linguist so cannot tell the exact term. We can say աման-չաման/aman-chaman(“aman” means “plate”) to describe “plates and whatnot”. Meaning, plates and everything that comes with it. Or, քար-մար/qar-mar (“qar” means “stone”) to describe “various stones”. So in your example I think it’s ապուր-չուպուր/abur-chubur/apur-chupur, meaning a soup of small importance (I guess?). Maybe it’s a regional thing to say, but in Yerevan we don’t usually use the “ապուր-չուպուր”.
it means soup or porridge
