I don’t know what is better. The food or the view….
What’s Serbian breakfast? Boiled eggs, possibly halloumi?, cottage cheese, chicory, cabbage and paprika in the middle – am I close?

Could you give some details?
I thought you guys just munched on raw whole onions, tomatoes and bell peppers. Clearly this is far too sophisticated to be a Balkan breakfast.
In the middle we have [kiseli kupus](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whole_sour_cabbage), which is similar to sauerkraut, but not completely the same, which is sprayed with Serbian “tucana” [paprika](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paprika). Closest to the photographer we have [Zlatar cheese](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serbian_cheeses), and then, going clockwise, boiled eggs, domestic bacon and cured meats, a small plate with [čvarci](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C4%8Cvarci), a small bowl of [kajmak](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaymak#Balkans), a shot of plum [rakija](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rakia#Serbia), traditionally served in a “čokanjčić”, then [gibanica](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gibanica) and [projara](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proja), then again meat, and then some [ajvar](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ajvar) in the end.
All in all, a proper winter rural breakfast.
