      >Mr McLenaghen said farmers were happy to pay tax on income but assets had no actual value unless they were sold.

I can only assume Mr McLenaghan would never use an asset to get a loan. Seeing as in his eyes the assets aren’t worth anything.

Said it before and I’ll say it again now. They are businesses the same as my business, but they get subsidies and tax breaks. Why don’t I? They’re not fucking special… They should be taxed like everyone else.

I extend to farmers the same solidarity I’ve seen them offer to other poor, sick, needy and other citizens seeking to better their lot. That being precisely fuck all.

Are these the lands that were taken primarily from the O’Neils and O’Donnells?

We went in to Derry this afternoon to visit with my in-laws (who have heat and power) and as we were stood waiting to be picked up, an old man standing about starts talking to me about how farmers have tractors which cost thousands.

“Right?” I said, as I grew up in the suburbs and have no idea about agriculture.

“I bet they drive Bentleys too!” and he laughed and walked away.
