      I’m ready.
      Any.
      Time.
There literally is nothing else in this moment that I wish more than kicking American asses. I want to see the US fall, down down down. And to hell with their damn arrogant bully imperialism.

This was NOT on my bingo card. Got to be more creative in my “what can go wrong” bingo game.

    3. The Greenlanders are pretty good at hunting seals, maybe Trump should think twice about sending his seals in…

I wonder what would happen within the US armed forces if they are sent to capture the territory of an ally. Would they all follow their great orange leader?

I do think it’s important for EU to really establish and engrave where they stand in this. Ridiculous to just betray your biggest ally this way.

Putin wanted parts of Eastern Ukraine for its untapped gas and other minerals. 2 trillion cubic meters of gas was found beneath Ukraines share of the Black Sea.
      Crimea was then taken.

Trump takes a leaf from Puny Putin and now wants Greenland for the exact same reasons.

Never thought I would say that, but thank god for French nukes.

Denmark should issue an ultimatum threatening to withhold Ozempic from the US.

Chinese and Russian leaders are probably grinning all day. This Trump was the best investment of their lives.

I think the EU needs to have a clear stated policy on how it will regard military action against a member country.

Clearly there isn’t going to be a military exchange with the United States, but the EU can:

      * close American military bases in Europe, including those with vital strategic importance to US military air and medical operations in Africa/Asia (i.e. Italy, Germany bases)
      * expel diplomatic personnel, so that embassies and consulates function only at the minimal level to facilitate necessary communications between countries
      * freeze and seize American assets held in Europe
      * seize the European operations of American companies
      * sanctions against US individuals and companies making them untouchable by non-US banks
      * invalidate US patents

I think the US will try economic measures to add pressure rather than literally invade Greenland – but Trump is beholden to corporate interests, and I think actions which threatens the US corporate order would cause his backers to pressure him to back down quickly. If Trump creates tariffs/punishment of Denmark – the EU needs a shocking, impactful response like passing a law to invalidate patents within 30 days. Tit-for-tat will not work, the EU needs to show it means business.

Maybe time to start shaming Europeans that goes to the USA. And absolutly the once that invest in the USA. At least I am not planing to do either of those any more. Atleast not until the US prove this thing wrong.

So who is up for some cancel culture actions towards those Europeans that do?

Deploy european troops in greenland tomorrow for god sake !

I wonder if Trump would use the US military to invade Greenland and would the Pentagon go along with it?

Imagine fighting for a friend in Afghanistan only for the friend to backstab you later.

This would be a Hollywood block buster with Denmark as the main character.

Hopefully Europe will wake the fuck up and unite, against Russia, for the Ukraine and against any and all bs the US most definitely will try. Source and manufacture as much as possible within the EU, especially medicine, oil, wheat and rare earth minerals. Be proactive, not just reactive. Shit is about to change, for decades to come.

We need to get rid of American military bases here in Germany the US is quickly turning from an ally and leader to an enemy of democracy and the liberal world order

    17. egybesultallamok on

Not good. Russians attack from the east, US from the west. :/

    18. immacomment-here-now on

A serious hate for Americans is building up in Europe. Arrogant. Narcissistic. Stupid. Violent. Be careful. You might just end up all alone when shit breaks down. No one will come to your aid.

    19. TheRealCostaS on

I would imagine even the maga arse kissers in his own party would object to this.

    20. morbihann on

If they try something it will be kind of what the Russians did with Crimea.

Land planes full of soldiers and use the confusion to occupy anuthing of importance before any reaction can be had.

If Greenland is fortified enough for this bs to not be viable, they will need a lot of obvious prepqration before attempting somethimg, also giving more time for sane heads to prevail.

That absolute moron will deatroy US, hopefully wont drag us along with them. What a bunch of idiots.

    21. Working for an American country outside of the US; this makes me extremely worried. How is this not different from Russia invading Ukraine? Or China possibly taking Taiwan? And what would the response be if they would? Let me be clear; I stand with Greenland (as I do with Ukraine and Taiwan), but this is about so much more than just a piece of land…

    22. DocHolidayPhD on

Canada needs to get ready too, then, as we are likely next.

Can’t Trump have a stroke that leaves him a vegetable? Please?

    24. Monkfich on

I feel like we’ll be moving towards a serious disinformation campaign against Greenlanders, to persuade them to vote in a referendum to join the US. X and Facebook will be rolled out to help do this.

    25. Friendly reminder that in 2005 a Swedish submarine successfully destroyed a US carrier in a war game and escaped undetected

I want Denmark and California, New York State (and other progressive states) to sign a defensive alliance.
