As an American I’m terrified of seeing history repeat itself.
I’ve never been to Auschwitz but these photos have captured what I imagine the immense sadness is like.
Thank you for sharing and reminding others about the tragedies that have happened.

Thanks for sharing. Honestly, I think I would have a nervous breakdown when going there.

Personally I think the place where it all set to me is Majdanek. Its perfectly preserved, residental areas, gas chambers and even has a gigantic mass of human dust (yes, it has bones).
When its in your face like that its, well, yeah.

It’s not about forgetting. At this point, what is Isreal doing? Committing Genocide against the Palestinians. The Palestinians today have more in common with the Victims of the Holocaust than any Israeli alive today. How shameful to tarnish the Holocaust by committing another. God’s People Right. The more I watch this sickness, the more is looks like the other guy sent you…

I’m reading *Death Is My Trade* from Robert Merle currently. Should be a mandatory read, especially nowdays…

I’ve always found Dachau to be more photogenic.

30-60 million Russians and Soviets died or murdered to the NAZIs and not a peep about it in western media circles. Disgusting. 🤮

Last October, 80 years ago my city was liberated by the First Pantzer Division by General Maczek. In honor of him and his division we celebrated this in the city and during a football match by inviting the last survivor of that division. This was celebrated with a banner before the match and in minute 19;44 a standing ovation with smaller flags. This season we play with special designed jerseys. On our home jersey all the names of that division are printed in the banner, and our away kit has an image of the group of Maczek and his men on our town square after the liberation, [link](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1caFJhTSSiQ&ab_channel=NACBreda).
Your images are well placed, they are wonderful in a depressing way. It pains me what my people have done. What parts of my family have done. And it hurts that even we ourselves don’t seem to learn from our history. Never forget.

You should post this in colour, too. This place is not in the past, it still exists. And we should never forget it, or build another one like it.

Mankind’s incessant thirst for blood of their fellow men/women is truly astounding. We are animals after all.

Israel should remember this too given the recent events in Gaza. Hard to believe these are the same people whose ancestors were victims of the Holocaust.

Pro-Palestine peeps try not to make Holocaust remembrance about Gaza challenge: impossible.

What do you exactly mean with never forget? Because it keeps happening again and again. Maybe we should learn more about the warning signs that happen before.
