Are you sure Afd is 23%? I checked on Welt and it was 21

Hey Germany? If you could just stop voting for Nazis, that would be great. Didn’t turn out so great the last time.

Once again someone (AfD or Russian?) posts the one polling result that is most favorable for AfD.

AfD will probably get a few % more, because such voters tend not to disclose who are they going to vote for in such surveys.

Sad to see but this isn’t much different from other EU countries. I hope governing parties realize this isn’t “the right” winning. It’s you, the parties in power, losing. People are craving change, look into that instead of what your opponent is doing. Maybe look into the housing and cost of living crisis? People don’t care about immigration much if you’re not living paycheck to paycheck but instead live in a nice neighborhood with money left after spending on amenities. If you don’t provide, don’t expect people to vote for you and instead vote for change in whatever way, shape or form that might take. Which in turn is exactly what we’re getting now, crap like the PVV/FVD in NL or AfD here in DE. Stop losing for gods sake, DO SOMETHING.

There are 3 parties they may or may not make it into parliament. So there could be anywhere from 4 to 7 parties in the Bundestag. Crazy for german standards.

For those unfamiliar with German politics: There are two potentially interesting thresholds the AfD could meet.
One is 25%, which is the required number of parliament seats to launch an investigative comittee (Untersuchungsausschuss).
The other is 30%, which prevents the other parties from making Changes to the German constitution.

AfD will come out higher in the actual election. They get tons of funding and public exposure as we speak.

Oh, the irony of calling half of their population idiots/Russian trolls/etc, and then expecting them to change their vote.
People are not voting for the far-right because they are idiots or suddenly became Nazis. People are voting because they are experiencing long-term problems that the current parties haven’t solved that the far-right are at least offering to solve.
Until the mainstream realizes it, the number of right voters will be on the rise.

Knowing that SPD/Greens probably don’t want a coalition with FDP anymore, any chance of them doing something with Die Linke? Or is a coalition with CDU/CSU more likely?

I wonder if a political party that cracks down hard on foreign influence, focuses on working class issues and solidarity would be welcome, we still have our own, although less influential, wealthy, but apart from that the only other big influence is the USA and Russia meddling with our people and trying to make them buy into their rotten capitalist tendencies while focusing on hatred for minorities.
Basically the opposite of what those cowards are pushing, the more we move away from their influence the more we can manage to let such political parties exist, like back in the cold war, but with our peoples’ interests at heart with no foreign masters.
A real movement from the ground up.

As a right winger I really hope LINKE will take over the left. I think it’s much more appropriate and clean to be parleying with actual socialists who have a touch on the needs of the people then phony social liberal elitists.

Before anyone makes too much from the changes here – this poster published a poll last week that was quite the outlier from the rest of the polls – with the SPD and Greens significantly higher and the CDU and AfD lower than in other polls.
Now, they seem to have corrected their polls and the results for CDU, SPD and Greens are mostly in line with other polls. AfD is higher than in other polls though – even the most “AfD optimistic” pollster (INSA) has them at 22% …

I know the type of person who votes for the AfD or the BSW, and there are a lot of them. But one thing which is still leaving me perplexed is who the hell is still voting for the FDP.

The established parties don’t have a solution for our big problems (retirement system, economy, health care, infrastructure, …) so I guess paradoxically, the AfD could become even stronger in 4 years, although it doesn’t really have any solutions but hate and populism, imo.

I bet that AFD win like the polls was skewed for Kamala Harris and she lost. Lots of problems with immigration and asylum in Germany that was made by Merkel. How many lives is worth this open border policy ?
