      Still looks inhospitable, I wouldn’t want to spend any extended period of time there.

      Looks Great, maybe even more greenery would have been nice but there’s always something you could complain about I guess.
      But where did all the Bus stops go? Seemed to have been quite a busy hub.

    4. Been there on a student exchange around 10 years ago. Impressive, lively city.

      Concrete with buses vs useless concrete? I’m too nordic for this…

      istanbul simply has too many people per km2 going to take decades and with the right people to transform it more,away from the concrete jungle

      I don’t think reddittors here are aware of what pedestrian traffic is. There’s a ferry port and two trams intersect there, also the bus station is still right there. Not to mention the other 5~ ferry ports to the side, a LOT of people pour out from the ferries and trams to get to the other transport method. You can’t have a forest there but at least now you can enjoy the Golden Horn without all of those buses.

    8. Do people consider Turkey as part of Europe, I do not. My opinion that they are middle east, before and now, and always.
