I wish that would work. Seriously. I’m rather positive that politicians will get in the way, because that’s what they do.
Strong unity in Europe is the only way to assert ourselves against the great powers. Even the US is becoming more aggressive (Greenland, Panama, Canada, …) and Donald Trump is already testing the limits. This will be an exciting century.
