Work on the basis that it already has then act accordingly.

Goodbye. I’m sure China will be glad to fill the gap.

    3. 1ns4n3_178 on

I hope it comes with all of the consequences including closing all US bases within Europe.

      Stupid question, completely pointless.
      Let’s dump them now.

    5. RadioFreeAmerika on

We should act now, not wait, speculate, and be generally reactive.

It already happened the moment Orange Juice was selected for a second squeeze. Europeans need to ignore the US and its current president while charting their own path.

While you’re at it create your own secondary ‘NATO’ alliance.

    7. BadAsBroccoli on

Hey, UK. How many of your soldiers died when the US called for you in times of war? Here’s your reward, dumped at the first hint of America First.

      Don’t go Right.

In all honesty that has been out there in the open since 1991 at various speeds through various presidencies.

It has been long established that the US interest in Europe since the fall of the USSR has been in decline. I find it silly how some EU nations leaders keep holding onto that post, as if Europe cant be strong. Or that the EU mustn’t be too strong not to scare the US.

But it’s quite the opposite, the EU HAS to be strong on it’s own to keep good relations with the US, or actually just keep good relations with any forming outside block in general.

    9. Additional_Jaguar170 on

More likely that the rest of the world will abandon the US.

    10. DarkWhiteOverlord on

Europe must stay strong and tall, without the US… it’s about time..

    11. Great! We are sick of WOKE, Blackrock, Vanguard and other american shits that are spreading their policies all around the world. They are making havoc everywhere

    12. TheRealCostaS on

Europe should never have been so dependent on the US. Being allies is one thing but it was always a huge mistake to do so, and now Europe has to figure this shit out for itself.

    13. glimmer_of_hope on

Please don’t hate all of us. I lived in Europe and I’m trying to return. I speak French and German and respect the culture. Not all of us are ignorant and gullible. A lot of us are watching this in horror, not sure what to do, as it seems people who could do something have abandoned us.

    14. Cheap_Marzipan_262 on

Let’s see this as a great opportunity, those yankie go home lefties who sees the USA as evil and the right who wants to invest in security should finally be able to agree: let’s buy a metric shit tonne of arms made in europe.

Let’s also get rid of imported oil and gas, with renewables and nuclear power built in europe.

    15. Extension_Canary3717 on

So basically USA – bases where trojan horses all along

    16. RubDue9412 on

Well it’s starting with tariffs. Trump wants to ruin the EU and may well work with Putin to achieve this goal.

    17. I mean if they made a complete 180 tomorrow, would we trust them? The US has proven to be an unreliable trading partner, unreliable environmental partner, unreliable intelligence partner, and ultimately an unreliable ally. I would not trust the US in an agreement on wet paperbags.

    18. Past-Present223 on

Ftfy : ‘The US abandons rule based world order that they architected as they elect Trump on November 5th 2024.’

    19. fucksticksjeeves on

We will have abandoned you before you get a chance to

    20. Rsndetre on

US doesn’t want to abandon Europe. They want to own it and finance their own wealth through it. Same situation with Mexic and Canada.

      It’s that simple!

    21. japie_booy on

      Can we please rephrase that.

The EU will finaly abandon the US.

    22. robipresotto on

Let’s make Europe great again 🫶🏼🇪🇺❤️🚀

    23. By how fast the US is alienating everyone, there will be plenty of new allies to choose from it seems.. Some central and south american countries or Canada albeit god knows what the common wealth is gonna do.. Maybe they’ll stay in line with the US after all..

    24. We must revoke any agreement on FATCA and tell US citizens that if they move in EU they will not need to disclose their income here with their Nazi state.

This would destroy the American economy forever.

    25. mabiturm on

The EU is the largest export market for the US. So not, we will not be abandoned. Trump just has not figured it out yet.

    26. Cybernaut-Neko on

As soon we totally ruined our economy and diplomatic ties with China to be a good us allied bitch.

    27. ParkingFirefighter52 on

Personally I don’t think the US will ‘abandon’ Europe, there certainly will be pressure on Europe to step up and do far more to improve its own defense. Nobody can deny Europe doesn’t do enough to protect itself, the best forces in Europe the British and Germans are shadows of what they were when I served. The biggest issue is Europe will never be united. No matter what you say, countries, especially France will do what’s best for them, band to hell with the rest of the continent.
