After three months od protesting after the newly reconstructed railway station canopy collapsed and killed 15 people, famous singer Madonna publicly supported the movement. Government supported violence against the students, after which couple of people were run over with cars, and one girl was even beaten with baseball bats which broke her jaw in couple of places.
