And what we are going to do to prevent this?

      Nothing, nothing or nothing?

      My dear fellow,
With Musk openly promoting AfD, you have a bigger problem than just disinformation from Russia. Since Musk is also the owner of X, guess who is going to get boosted and who is going to get censored?

Yeah that has been happening intensely for two years now. We chose to let Russian disinformation roam free, remember? Also Sabotage of civilian and militar infrastructure, exertion of political I fluenxe via vasall parties etc.

Our counterespionage is not even happening (they were run by Russia for the longest time to be fair) do the expect that to change now?

What about disinformation from the mainstream media that could influence during elections over the last 40 years?

« In case you put the wrong ballot in the box, it will be because of Russian disinformation so we’ll have to cancel the election »

If tomorrow Radio Moskva will start broadcasting 24/7 in every German household, the voting results of the thus propaganda-tainted population will still be called “will of the people” and validated.

Germany is frozen in the face of Russian meddling and Elon’s backing of the far right.

Maybell… just maybe… Do something about it and not just talk like the last 10 years.

Exactly what they’re after, but the fluffy white rabbits just don’t get what’s happening, and want cheap Russian gas and oil, and the USA to defend European soil.

And guess what, the rabbithole is not what it seemed..

Not the swarm of fascist american and israeli bits we know exist, no just the Russians

I swear at the moment, not to say it isn’t happening, but whenever the polls swing towards something the existing leadership/people don’t want, it’s always put down to Russian disinformation.

Sorry, but there are 84 million Germans and I refuse to believe Russian disinformation is the sole blame for however many millions may or may not vote for the far-right.

Just saying it won’t get the idea across to the people who are most likely to be affected or are already affected. Because of Brandolini’s law you really have to make a significant and aimed effort to expose the bullshit and its motives.

Russian disinformation, what about US Billionaires disinformation from their social media

    13. IMO this had to happen.

There was no traction to have more regulations on social media regarding foreign influence mainly because people would not be happy about it.

No one would be happy because we (we = the people) didn’t know the full consequences of letting it happen.

Now no one is telling us what will happen because everyone can see what is happening in real time.

If the EU survives this, which I think it will, we will come up with more protections and shields in place to avoid this type of situations.

Sometimes we have to experience these things just so we can understand why the top-paid politicians and think-tankers in our bubble sometimes come up with farfetched ideas that do not sound reasonable at all.

The EU may be slow, but one thing I have been noticing is that they sure protect us from having the same issue twice.
