I’m surprised there was even a question of this in the first place. Was someone assuming Ireland would stand in the way?
Of course we won’t block them… the EU is facilitating common purchase schemes for various military equipment, both to reduce prices and to ensure that Europe has access to scalable local manufacturing. We’re taking part in those collaborative purchases schemes as needed, just like other European countries.
Hopefully we’re growing up about defense.
The way we’ve been acting has been juvenile.
