True, they’re also shitty cars prone to turning themselves into car bombs, which isn’t great.

The fascist owner is just the cherry on top

    3. nerfyies on

Imaging Tesla will sue eu citizens for not buying their cars lmao

    4. Anachron101 on

Every time I see a Tesla I notice at least one issue with it. Such incredibly badly produced cars

    5. ItsGermany on

Good! Keep going to 0% market for Tesla. I own them and hate owning them now. I can’t wait to get rid of them and move on. Tesla sucks donkey nuts.

    6. XororoBlackMetal666 on

Shitty cars produced by a company owned by a fucking N*z*i? No, thanks.

    7. WhatTheFuqDuq on

Annual statistics from the department of motorvehicles in Denmark, show that nearly 25% of all Tesla Model 3 fail their first 4 year inspection – just when the warranty runs out. Other EVs were at around 9% – varying between manufacturers, however none anywhere near Teslas failure rate.

Doesn’t really bode well for longevity of the car.

    8. joaoqrafael on

Good motors and batteries inside a shitty car by a company ran by a real life James Bond villain. No thank you.

    9. Europeans, do your part and stop buying Teslas. Let’s not support fascists. If they want a trade war, then let them have it.

Let’s make the Musk nazimobil the first victim of the trade war.

    10. Ongelijk on

I live near a secondhand car dealership, there are so many tesla’s in the lot, they can’t seem to get rid of them.

He should do the fight with Zuck, who wins gets the other’s company – funny to know Mark would manhandle the manchild.

    12. blackcoffee17 on

Musk doesn’t care now, he has the full US budget to himself now.

    13. praetorian1111 on

Dutchie here, yes a lot of people would like to piss on him in my country. But these drops in sales also have (a lot) to do with changing EV tax rules.
Before it was way more profitable to lease EV, now that shifted to plugin hybride.

    14. I mean, when I heard the name swasticars to describe Tesla cars, it was over. That’s game over in Europe.

No US car manufacturers seem to get a foothold in Europe. Tesla has made the best effort, but it’s over now.

      Good riddance.

    15. Old_Bluecheese on

Tesla used to be a good story. No longer is,and it’s very hard to see how that could change when the CEO is increasingly gaga and his ouster would hurt badly and remove all the magic teflon surrounding the company.

    16. readycheck1 on

Why would anyone buy Tesla when we have great EU brands also selling EVs….

    17. Dutchie854 on

Lots of people are waiting for the facelifted model Y so model Y sales have plummeted. So yeah, Jan 2025 sales are very low compared to Jan 2024 sales. Also lots of new Model 3 Highland orders back in Jan 2024 which has now stabilized.

    18. MeAndMyReindeer on

In Finland, no Tesla models were among the top 30 most sold car models in Jan 25.

In total, 58 Teslas were registered in January, equalling to 3.5 % market share in EVs.

    19. Yes it is. Stop pretending its not. He is disliked all over Europe. Full disclosure – did not read article!

    20. Debesuotas on

They sucked before the salute and the salute was the last nail in this coffin….

    21. TheOnsiteEngineer on

Both of the reasons they mention (Q1 always being slow due to Q4 sales push and introduction of a new model Y) as the drop in sales being not just because of Musk seem… about as solid as all the other reasoning we’ve been hearing for the actions of Trump and Musk (ie. kinda shaky at best). It’s still valid ton conclude the majority of the reason for the fall of Tesla is US politics and the antics of Musk in particular.

    22. unknown_user8888 on

Goal should be zero. This guy is menacing our democracy.

    23. szczszqweqwe on

Apart from obvious nazi-cosplaying guy himself.

Why would someone go to a weird car without a wipers and turn-signal stalks when someone can just get more or less conventional car that just happens to be an EV?

Quite a lot of good EV are launching nowadays. Personally I’m thinking about Cupra Born, I don’t want to burn money unnecessary on a car, but I really like it.

    24. CrisisEM_911 on

Sadly, since Musk now controls the US Treasury, he can just pay himself back for whatever money Tesla loses.

I’m also quite certain Tesla will end up with a monopoly on green energy infrastructure and EVs in the US. Bad news is, the US will be a dictatorship. Good news is, we’ll be a clean and green one after we’re all forced to buy Tesla for all our transportation and energy needs.

    25. MannowLawn on

Netherlands stopped subsidy for electric cars per Jan 25. So I would say that’s the biggest reason.

    26. Desperate-Hearing-55 on

Musk wont worry. He control US Treasury now. he will give Tesla more federal contract and whatever fk he wants now.

    27. Michael_J__Cox on

I’m hoping we can get similar numbers in the US and kick those turds out. Fuck elon

    28. Wilbur_Ward on

Good luck buying another now that Elon and Trump are working together. All off brand electric cars will get Tarrifs!!! Buy American or buy nothing!!! America first!!

    29. Generally I don’t pay too much attention to behavior from corporate executives. I mean, I did not overthink VW cheating with the pollution stuff. But to me this is far beyond acceptable. He could have repaired it by apologizing and claiming that it was not his intention, but no, hubris of crazy proportions. If this is the trend, then it serves you right Musk!

    30. nn2597713 on

Imagine buying a Tesla in 2025. It’s likely buying a Volkswagen in 1942; by doing it you’re sending a signal you’re OK with nazism.
