I won’t lie to you. This past week in Canada has been awful.
the tarrifs threat has been horrific, kowing in a few days, hundreds of thousands of my fellow citizens will be out of work. And our economy would be in free fall.
I believe 75% of our exports go to the United States, Canada can not go on like this. We need to expand our trade.
But this week has also been inspiring – I have never seen Canadians so united.
The tarrifs have been delayed now… but I don’t expect the threat to go away.
I understand Europe has been threatened with tariffs also (brace yourselves)
and a highly educated, hard-working population. Canadians are smart, tough, honest, and good people. And we share values.
So would yall support increased trade with Canada? Increased business? I would be honored to have European companies fill government contracts that Canadians can’t fill. I would love to see European grocery and retail stores open up in Canada.
We need more competition in Canada, and I would love to see European businesses that share our values here.
I’m not talking about joining the EU, I’m talking about a new trade deal or just more trade in general. I would love to hear your thoughts!

Wonder what it would take to make the Euro the reserve currency versus the dollar? That would certainly knock the USA for a loop.

With all my heart.
And I happy the sentiment about “boycotting USA” will not cease. I now I will keep my boycotting for the foreseeable future.
If USA wants isolation, let them have it

It seems pretty logical for democracies to prioritize trade with each other.

The further integration into the European community can be more than just economic for all I care.
Military, cultural, scientific, more cooperation is the way for a better future.

Only if we can get them for less than what you sell the Americans.

First you need to take part in Eurovision, then we can talk.

They’ll say yes, but the farmers will say no. Who’s coming out on top in that scenario.

Trump punches you guys, Dem voters say they love you.. they play with your emotions too much to trust you can see through their game.. and not go back to them one day.. I think next Dem president that says they love you & sorry you ditch Europe and go back to the toxic relationship

Canada has incredible vast natural resources (wood, timber, natural gas, crude oil, copper, iron ore, aluminum, uranium, nickel, potash, fresh water, etc..)
and a highly educated, hard-working population. Canadians are smart, tough, honest, and good people. And we share values.
So would yall support increased trade with Canada? Increased business? I would be honored to have European companies fill government contracts that Canadians can’t fill. I would love to see European grocery and retail stores open up in Canada.
