I’d be worried if they acted normal in there
I suspect the words “for now” are missing from the headline. The opposition now know that Verona Murphy isn’t up to the job as Ceann Comhairle. Every time there is a hot topic the place will descent into the same shouting match again.
FF + FG will do everything in their power to make sure Michael Lowry never sits with or gets speaking time from the Government side of the house.
He’ll sit in the opposition benches and not speak for now, but once the heat has died down the government will use their majority to ram through the “hybrid” technical group so he can speak without them ever having to admit they did a deal with him or that he’s a member of the government.
