As a DV victim this has made me feel physically sick as my court date with my ex is coming up soon and what is the point of reporting and going through everything with reporting to the Garda and waiting years for a court date if the end result is basically no punishment at all?

Reading this has made me not want to go to court. My case is being heard in the CCJ so there is a possibility I will get this judge. I hope this woman appeals it. That’s a joke of a sentence. It’s insulting. That judge has essentially said “you do not deserve a custodial sentence for assaulting your girlfriend”. He shouldn’t be allowed on any cases regarding women or children.

    2. How in the name of god does this take 7 years to come to come before a judge?

      Dear “judge” Nolan,

We’re all sick of you. Kindly fuck off.

      Yours sincerely,

That’s a ridiculously low sentence for such a horrific act, whipped with a cable.

      Hang on….searching for the judge….

Oh Nolan you absolute cunt-bag enabler

      > A man who beat his former partner twice in one night and then contacted her 54 times in one day has been given a two year suspended sentence for harassment and assault.

It’s insane so many violent crimes go unpunished. Terrible message to victims.
