Kamala Harris would have been better for Palestinians.

I agree with the position of France and yet I find it each day harder to achieve. The growth of Hamas is making everything too complicated. And now they grow in the West Bank.

I’m growing pesimistic. You can’t build a state with the main premise of destroying your neighbour, who is also the one to help you.

Where’s the potential understanding? I think some israeli positions are consistent with some Al-Fatah positions, but they’re more a minority every day.

Europe must come to terms with the fact that fascists came to power in America and entire generations in the US grew up on imperialist propaganda to make the US great. Just like in Russia.

The only way they will have peace is when gaza goes to egypt and westbank goes to jordan.

Any other option means endless war. Problem is too many people on both sides want this.

Apart from throwing shade on the US, is France doing anything actually useful to solve the Gaza crisis? It looks like everyone has a massively strong opinion on Gaza and Palestine but what are they doing to actually increment towards peace? UNHCR is a disaster, UNIFIL is a disaster.

Same France that was talking about sending men to Ukraine? Whether you agree or disagree on the issue, it’s hard to take them seriously. It’s classic EU. Talk big game but what are you actually doing that will make people believe you. People are supporting Trump because they believe he will actually do what he says and the conflict will be decided one way or another.

It is depressing that the official policy of the United States is sponsoring mass deportartions, forced relocation, and stealing land, at home and abroad

So are we ready to acknowledge that this is a genocide?

Ironic coming from France. But agree.

      (France still has colonies)

Europe must come to terms with the fact that there already is a Palestinian state, it’s called Jordan.

It’s way too late! Gaza will be depopulated and there will be no consequences.

I don’t think eu will respond to a toddler’s outburst as if they were toddlers too. When a toddler goes off his rocker then grown up observe, make plans to clear up his mess. And wait to act with THEIR strategy . Not stoop to his level.

Will Europe and France especially enforce the Rome statute against Bibi Netanyahu and sanction Israel and the USA? Let’s be real unless Europe united and held accountable the USA and Israel then and only then will the genocide end. I doubt Germany would allow the EU to move in the direction of forcing accountability for Israel even if it’s self evident what’s happening in Palestine.

Ending the war by removing 1.8m people living there.

I feel like we can say whatever we want, this is a loose cannon so it doesn’t matter.

      What future of Gaza? lol
Every picture of Gaza I see seems to show a desolate wasteland of rubble. Like 70% of what was a city is just a write-off now. Finding these people new homes elsewhere (like in Jordan and Egypt) is a valid humanitarian solution and probably a better one for these people long-term. Then let Israel have the rubble pile.

This is why I think Trump said what he said… A nudge to Israel to just take the rubble pile and put an end the cycle of misery. Only a sadist would propose a solution that maintains long-term misery in the region.

Even if Trump is trolling, which I hope he does just because he enjoys to surprise and then negotiate, what he proposes for Palestine is clearly ethnic cleansing and some things ought to be unacceptable for any decent country. Everyone must answer like France does and collectively as the EU.

lol right since this thinking has worked out so well over the last 60 years

Well as much as I hate Trump, what is Micron going to do about it really?

It’s always interesting how everyone is shitting themselves after not having provided any measures to make Gaza into a relatively normal middle eastern place, and not a terror HQ.

I get it. Your asses aren’t on the line so why should you send troops to watch over the place and reign in the terror groups if necessary.

With Hamas the future Palestinian state is in immediate war with Israel. You can wank over their “new” manifesto all you want, they simply exchanged Jew for Zionist to appeal to westerners.

You don’t want to police Gaza.
You don’t want to deradicalise Gaza.
You just want things to happen magically.

Europe would be a shitshow if you had done the same to Germany.

    21. AmbitiousBossman on

Since when does Europe help with anything – they are unwilling to fix it so stay out of it

I think we are officially past the point where countries can make suggestions without using their military

    23. ionoftrebzon on

Unfortunately it got to the point that you can throw a stone in a crowded caffe in France and you will hit a better leader (and human) than the past and present US presidents. Vive la France! ( Not French)

    24. FistyFistWithFingers on

Is there even a small chance that France would be willing to do anything productive here or just the typical finger waving at the US to give redditors boners?

    25. SnooStrawberries620 on

And if there is a military presence there, it must be a united international one and not more Americans looking for a place to justify war spending
