Would be happy to see someone with a data 📊/stat/econ knowledge can explain whether this chart makes sense to them.
What I did is I effectively took the nominal numbers and applied the GDP deflator to it to get to the real GNI per capita. It uncovered a real picture to me that the growth is only 2X.
2003 to 2012 : 465 $ -> 1133 $ or increased x2,43 times or +143% in 9 years = Golden era
2012 t0 2023 : 1133 $ -> 1088 $ or decreased by -4% in 11 years = Lost decade
