Everyone is curious to know how they perform in an actual conflict theatre. Some are more apprehensive than merely curious.
Smart of Ukraine to bet more on European made weapon systems. They can be battle tested and improved over time.

US veto is likely now gone or soon to be gone. The engines are GE which gave the US a veto.
