      Only thing I care to support when buying European is the EU itself…

      Sadly European cars suck, Europe produces nearly no electronic devices and most of my services bill via Ireland to the US.

      At least the food is Grade A.

      We are doing pretty good right now. Our local shop already has little Canadian flag next to the product price. Very good visual aid.

      You do realize that nearly every “American” company that is selling goods to Europe is a multinational that also has operations in Mexico and Canada?

      If you didn’t boycott Italian products when Berlusconi got reelected, it feels a little overdramatic to respond to Trump’s reelection with a boycott. Every country eventually has a buffoon for a leader, it seems childish to expect that Americans would never have a bad leader.

      Why don’t you start a “roll up your own sleeves” movement while you’re at it? It’d include things like:
       – funding your own defense
       – sending your own guys into battle 
       – defending your own back yard against Russia and China

      Wouldn’t that be something eh?

      To be honest, the reality is we really don’t make too many things here. I don’t think you all are buying American beer or American guns. I can’t think of anything else here that is worth a crap that I’d want to buy.

      I think it would be far more effective and responsible to boycott particular companies and publications and to do so very vocally–Tesla, Amazon, Meta, the NYT.
