I dare say they haven’t been the second strongest army in the world for a few years now.
Russia seems to have broken its military power by hitting it repeatedly against a mysteriously unbreakable obstacle…

OK. So that means using donkeys and horses is NOT normal (like everyone did not know that already). SMH

US special forces still use pack animals on rough terrain. They can negotiate anything human feet can, and can aid in concealment.
I feel for the animals, they didn’t volunteer, and they’re probably going to die in pain from shrapnel or be shot when they break a leg. But the same was true for horses, donkeys, mules, and camels for thousands of years. We’re near if not past peak oil. There may not be enough raw materials to fully replace the internal combustion engine with batteries. I wouldn’t be terribly surprised if the wars fought late this century were not unlike those fought before WWII, horses and donkeys providing mobility and logistices, just with lots faster communication, and constant terror from drones.

mustache man used horses and donkeys because that part of Europe didn’t have enough oil to run a million 2 1/2-ton trucks. Russia is/was the third largest producer of oil in the world. 🙃

I mean, let me say I hope it’s true. I really can’t believe this. Really, really feels like BS.
