Sono un ragazzo spagnolo che è venuto a Rovaniemi in ottobre, ho cercato di comprare molte cose diverse a Tori e nessuno ha risposto. Mai. Ho quasi una recensione a mio avviso, compro una cosa, ma ho cercato di usare Chatgpt per parlare in finlandese, per parlare in finlandese con accento rovaniemi, Blablabla. Nessuno mi ha mai risposto. Forse dovrei mettere una foto? È qualcosa che sto facendo di sbagliato? Ho cercato di comprare cose vicino al mio e molto lontano tramite Toripay, ho Mobil Pay, cosa devo fare? 👺👺👺👺

I can’t even imagine what nonsense Chatgpt hallucinates when you ask it for “Rovaniemi accent”.
I find it very easy to use.
I wouldn’t trust ChatGPT to make good translations, especially if you’re trying it to make it speak in a regional dialect, too. Just use English and if they ask just say that you’re a spanish guy visiting Finland.
Toridiili should be super easy (at least in theory), you just make an offer, and if the seller accepts they have a couple of days to ship the product to you and that’s that.
Well, one thing is right there on your screen, “vahva tunnistautuminen” or strong identification. You use your bank account to confirm your identity, so people know you’re not, for example, a bot. If you’re using chatgpt or similar, your messages might look bot-like or unnatural to a native Finnish speaker, like in scam emails, so they might not want to answer to you because of that. Most Finnish speakers know English, so using English is also okay.
Strong identification in general makes the buying and selling safer, so if someone gets a message from a verified and unverified buyer, they will pick the verified one.
It’s saying you should ‘tunnistautua’, basically to verify yourself by entering your bank details into the app so that they know you to be a real person. It shouldnt be too hard, if i recall correctly it took just a minute. Tori like most platforms like this have a problem with scammers so it could be that people see that your account hasnt been verified, so that might be why nobody’s answering. I dont use Tori all that much though so not 100% sure if that’s the only reason.
Ummm, if you mean a dialect by “accent” then they are written the same the only thing is the pronounciation. And the reason nobody answers you. And sorry to tell you but finns don’t really like to talk to immigrants or people who came here. But one thing you could do is just talk in english and do NOT use chatgpt!
Most scams on these site start with messages coming from new, unverified accounts in English or obviously machine translated Finnish so I guess the sellers just ignore you because they are used to such messages.
