L’Ucraina è nuovamente impegnata nei colloqui con la Svezia per ricevere jet da combattimento Gripen. La Svezia aveva già iniziato ad addestrare i piloti ucraini nel 2023, ma le cose rimasero in silenzio per motivi non divulgati circa un anno fa. Ma alla fine del 2024 la Svezia ha finanziato la consegna di circa uno squadrone di aerei.

I know that Sullivan held those back intentionally. Imagine how butthurt the VKS would have been if they’d had MBDA Meteors shot at them. That doesn’t fit in with Sullivan’s plan of protecting as many Russian military personnel as possible.
Nice to see the Gripen and Mirage programs seem to be going a lot smoother than the F-16s.
Nice news, but it’s pity that it needed 3 year of war to start the training! So much human lives wasted in between.
I hope some pilots with the basic training they got previously are able to get up and running somewhat quickly. Learning to handle a system like this and actually internalizing and making everything second nature takes a lot of time as far as I know it.
