      It’s for the „Stolzmonat“ a countermovement to the pride month. People using this are mostly nationalists and homophobic. They claim it hasn’t to do anything with being homophobic, but they use this movement to discredit any posting about pride month.

      As others pointed out, it’s a play on the pride rainbow flag by German conservatives and, according to Reddit’s left narrative, fascists. They felt offended and butthurt — as they always are about every little thing, even though they always claim it were the other way around — so they poutingly created their own version of the pride flag.

      I think that’s quite a shame, because it looks really damn good in my honest opinion. I started to use it as a background on some online profiles and was hoping that this design would become the new official government design (like in the Netherlands, where they commissioned artists a few years ago to redesign, modernize and unify their “government design”, looks pretty good). Thank god a friend told me what that flag actually was 😭 I’m still embarrassed that I used to have the modern fascist flag in my profile for a couple of days

      It’s an idiot indicator. There was this one campaign in the antisocial media that you should put this alienation of the German flag in your profile if you have an IQ below room temperature. It helped me a lot to realize that Twitter and Facebook are not places where I want to spend any more time.

      German alt right anti LGBT flag. Actually mocking the “Pride Month” into a “Stolz Monat” where “Stolz”=”Pride” but is heavily used only in alt right rhetoric.
