If I were a man, I would hate to be quantified together with machines. Who cares about tanks, there are 850,000 mothers who will never see their child’s face again.
Or, in Russian terms, 8 troops and 10 tanks lost.

The amount of people dying is crazy

Despite Russia’s actions, I can’t find it in me to be apathetic or even cheerful if a large portion of those 850k men were forced into it by their government.
10 000 tanks? Surely they must be talking about armoured vehicles in general (IFV’s, APC’s, SPA’s and so on) because Russia didn’t even have 10 000 MBT’s prior to the invasion.

Each tank costing between $1-$3million…In other news…Ukraine has blown thru 10,000 attack drones at $150 a piece.
I haven’t seen it myself, but apparently Trump says he gets reports stating around that many Russian casualties and around 700k Ukrainian casualties. So the figures in the headline are possibly believable if that’s what American intel is telling their President.
Usually the bullshit figures are only for the public and the intel will give their actual figures to those who need to know.
Then again, Trump is bullshit personified.
Anyway… casualties does not equal dead. In terms of actual KIA it will be a long time before we understand the true cost. I think especially for Ukraine a huge amount of those casualties must be desertions.
