Europe is so back baby 🐥
Macron declaring something doesn’t make it true.
I wonder how this aligns with France’s environmental goals.

Hell yeah! France is showing the way. Europe needs to wake up, and at least France is doing so.
Neglecting AI is simply insane at this point because it will transform the world and is already doing so. Europe not having its own AI means it relies on the US and China, and neither of these is trustworthy. The US was previously, but not anymore under Trump. It’s either we have our own AI or likely become US tech vassals and constant targets of extortion.
Not having AI means you’re economically in the stone age, so that’s not an option. It’s like not having electricity in 1925 – you’re just… done.
I’ve been using le chat the last few days and I’m liking it more than Chatgpt or Microsoft copilot I haven’t used deepseek so can’t compare but Mistral has produced an AI that for my needs is at least comparable to the big American companies.
And yet, he wants to invest in 12 more datacenters run by the GAFAM.
It dos not compute.
