“In case the war in Ukraine is stopped, Russia will be able to devote even more resources towards rearming. They offer three “stages” of Russian preparation, if NATO does not keep up with Moscow’s rearmament pace:
Within 6 months of the war stopping, Russia will be ready for another local war with one of its neighbours.
Within 2 years, they will be prepared to fight one or more NATO members and sustain a regional war in the Baltics.
Within 5 years, Russia will be ready for a full-scale war in Europe, in the case that the United States does not get involved.”
