      I once saw a car in Galway blocking two parking spaces and the footpath. But their hazards were on so..

      Well I’m sure the driver of the white car availed of the “I’ll just be a minute” rule, which as we all know gives you a right to park anywhere.

      I think the car should be towed away but I don’t see how it is blocking the space. Looks like it is totally clear to park from this photo.

      Lack of enforcement , in New York they proposed a way of reporting where you can get paid part of the fine if your report it , that would fix plenty of issues

      I visit Ireland every few months to visit my mom. Every time I’m shocked by the lackadaisical parking attitude of people. Where I’m from no one does shit like this because their car would be instantly towed. People religiously follow tow warnings, and most tows are because people didn’t read or understand the warning sign. The penalties are brutal, a tow will easily run €450-500. With extra fees of €200 per day extra.

      Now the flip side is that people constantly complain about how strict the parking is everywhere. I guess this is what that lack of strictness looks like.

      The solution is to let the air out of two of the tyres. Let them sort that out. A few call outs from the AA and they might think twice about it…

      I feel like the public should be able to upload photographic evidence of a car parked illegally, and then have someone review and issue a fine accordingly

      Honestly think Ireland is the only first world country where you routinely see cars parked with all four wheels on the pavement, even in the big cities

      The main reason cunts use their phone while driving, speed, blast through red lights, drive in the bus lanes, park on paths and in cycle lanes, is simply due to lack of enforcement.

      All of those things are equally illegal, but most of them are not being enforced either at all, or to such a pitifully low level that it’s zero deterrent to others doing the same.

      Until we get mobile phone/red light/bus lane cameras, or Guards who actually enforce traffic laws, you can make it illegal to drive a white car ffs and it wouldn’t matter.
