      That sounds like something that needs to be changed back…

    2. Seems a bit stupid and definitely a law change needed. Whoever thought that was a good idea hasn’t used their brains here….

    3. They’ve got trackers on the cars, presumably. Just debar them from using the cars outside of work purposes, and the BIK surely doesn’t arise.

      Similar thing happened with Gardaí based out of Harcourt Street a while back. Nobody considered the issue of all the city centre parking spaces that the policy was providing.

      Some context here. The current director and senior management in NAS are pushing through a ‘modernisation’ agenda with no consultation.
      Staff moral accross grade is at an all time low, one of the unilateral management decisions is to stop the training on APs, who provide advanced interventions. Most officers who have these cars are APs and respond off duty. This is a public health issue and will/already has led to parient deaths

    6. BIK exemption should apply to paramedic response vehicles. Seems fairly obvious.
