      It’s sad that my mother used to tell me my granny and granda cried when the polio vaccine became widely available because of how many people they knew who died of polio back in the day, and now she’s staunchly anti vax herself and thinks it’s poison that does more harm than good and is full blown vaccines cause autism because “Jenny down the streets wee boy started showing signs of autism after he was vaccinated as a child, and it’s all over Facebook people with the same experiences!”

      Social media is a plague on the planet. My mother takes everything she sees there as gospel and even if I bring up an actual scientific study she will turn her nose up at it.

      I’m genuinely not trying to be a tinfoil hat wearer but my mother in law is in her 70s and she developed end of life (or whatever it’s called) kidney failure and is on dialysis as a result of the vaccine. The specialists all said it was because essentially her body had something in it all her life (very rare) and when she got the vaccine her body reacted to it and started attacking herself and that was the only thing they could pin point.

      My friends partner is a nurse and developed MS as a result of it. Again the specialists said it but in both cases they couldn’t put it down.

      Whether or not it’s true it’s what we were told. I am definitely not one of those anti vaxers

      I remember when I worked in a university, a student had hung himself in the room in their accommodation. A colleague of mine was the one that found them . Very athletic young character. The stories were all over the internet of how the vaccine killed them….. I was sick to my stomach reading the posts, but couldn’t say anything on account of the family, being from a religious background, had asked the university to keep it quite that it was suicide

      A couple family members of mine are vaccine nuts and seeing them post such ill informed bollox about a person who I personally knew and got along very well with was gut wrenching .

      My mum got myocarditis after her Moderna jab. She almost died. Nothing crazy about it.
