It’s a great city with tons of potential.

Did you cross the footbridge across the canyon? I’m guessing you didn’t since I don’t see photos from it.

Edit: I should add that Ashtarak really does have great views, but no offense to OP, but he’s not a professional photographer, and neither is his camera professional. But trust us. There are great views of the 3 main “Ara” peaks of the region (Ararat, Aragats, Ara), it’s got a very picturesque canyon, some great old houses and churches… so lots of great stuff going on. It just needs a great food scene to emerge now.
