I wonder will the reaction to this be the massive Garda presence we desperately need in the city, being that it happened on the important side of the river.

Terribly sad. I hope the victim in care recovers quickly and that they catch the offender.

Dublin is going in a really scary direction, becoming lost for words at this point.

What in the fuck is going on in Dublin. Poor fuckers, I’d rather be shot than stabbed any day of the week, absolute scum bag behaviour carrying around knives just to stab people.

I can guarantee you this is one of many of these serious assault incidents that happen every month in Dublin, it’s only making the news because the fella has died.

What a disgrace that crime like this is occurring and their best lead is that they need to get an account of the other seriously injured man in order to establish who did it.

Our government has fucked the people of Ireland and the Garda to allow this, Dublin hasn’t been safe for a long while

Lad I know just got off shift and mentioned something about this. Obviously I won’t give any details because I am just a dog on the internet. Scary stuff regardless.

Like it just keeps getting worse and worse and you rarely see a guard. I’ve never been in a European capital with such a low level of policing.

Wonder could it be drug related. I know dealers like to hang around that exact spot.

How on earth can this happen on a Friday night in the city centre. This is pretty much bang in the middle of where a lot of the main spots are. Zero Garda presence

It’s almost like our taxes pay for fuck all that benefits the tax payer these days.

      Zero Garda presence.

This is becoming a daily occurrence now. At least they were able to call it a stabbing this time and not ‘slashing type injuries’

Time for the minister of justice to walk around with 30 bodyguards and say “Dublin is a safe city.”

Can we have an independent report on Garda working so we know what is going on.
We know they are hired and exist but why are they not around. Are they actively choosing not to be out on the streets?

Maybe there is sn issue there. What can be done to get more on the streets. Is there something they need?

If only we hade Guards on the street of our capital city, but that’s far too much to ask.

We have a mental health epidemic happening before our very eyes and the government continually fail to deliver services.

Dubs surely like their knives homegrown and imported crew. You would think the entire f country is made of chefs. Just make it 10 years add on to sentence for all knife related crimes ffs or we are expecting stab protection vests to be on discount in pennies.
