Absolutely fucking mental night.
What happened in the stadium was mild compared to what went on outside. Anyone with an England shirt was a target for Gardaí, seen some fans getting absolutely fuckin pummelled by them. No body cams or camera phones back then!
Hard to believe it’s 30 years. The Gardaí went to town with their batons on those thugs.
I couldn’t imagine they would be allowed to do the same today.
I was watching it and the guards were rolling up their sleeves and wellying in, then the cameras were at Connolly Station escorting the ones that came down from Belfast, them screaming
