      Guarding what’s not his in the first place, let alone doing anything about Russia. Talk about raping a country (and he knows all about that). Imagine electing someone like him as your leader

      If the deal includes expelling the orcs from all of Ukraine, then it’s OK, I’d say. It can be renegotiated later with a more sane president. And it might cause Mordor to collapse. But it must mean restoring of Ukraine’s territorial integrity.

      If this were to happen Ukraine needs to get all of its territory back, with the U.S. troop participation of the war

      Wouldn’t be the first time the US has gone to war over natural resources. Kuwait, Iran, Iraq where there’s oil you’ll find an American troops.

      … that’s literally just getting a second occupier, wtf? I thought he was plotting second Yaltan Betrayal, but he’s pivoting to full Ribbentrop-Molotov?

      EU needs to wake up ASAP and offer to send own peacekeeping troops with no/as little strings as possible attached.

      Or if not – just Poland. I can’t fathom we’ll stand by while our neighbour gets partitioned like this before our eyes.

      It wouldnt mean much if they fenced off a few kilometres and us troops just waved to russian troops trying to drive to kyiv

      Someone needs to tell Trump that most of Ukraine’s rare earth minerals are in areas Russia currently occupies. So, unless he’s willing to use American troops to directly confront Russia and push them out of these areas, he’s talking out of his ass — again.

      Guard from whom? Somehow I have suspicions that they would guards those minerals from Ukrainians more than from Russians

      A deal done with the US under a Trump presidency comes with absolutely no assurances they would honour it down the line. He’s already walked back trade deals done in his last term with Canada and Mexico. He has zero credibility and is no more trustworthy than Putin.
