She has a point. Women are not all angels and some have toxic attitudes…think foodie calls.
Maybe over the next few years the culture wars will start to address traditional feminine modes of aggression: rumours and gossip, social exclusion and isolation. It’s relational bullying.

100% there are a bunch of “trad” women who like men to be men and women to be women.
You see it pervade all spaces with attitudes to dating and beyond.
I’ve been told to “man up” by women if I shied away from conflict when I was younger – really that was because I knew I had a temper I didn’t quite have a handle on.
An egalitarian, feminist, world will help everyone I think.

Reminds me of an interview I heard about the mafia in Italy. With the dads and uncles in prison, it was the mothers not the men who raised their sons to ‘be a man’, live up to the family name, get revenge for their dads. Basically the mothers pushed their young sons into a very narrow and violent idea of what it is to be a man.
The clue is authoritarianism. Regardless of someone’s sex. If they are trying to impose rules on you that’s the clue.
People can be bad, their behaviour can make other people act bad too, people should try learn to confront said people, no matter gender, race, ethnic origins, if people are bad it shouldn’t be encouraged.

In my workplace some of the worst people responsible for other women leaving the company in droves have been other women, vengeful psychologically evil bullies

As a young woman, the trad wife thing boils my blood. Yer wan nara smith (who makes toothpaste from scratch etc) had three kids by the age of 21?! It’s all performative, she has to have a nanny and a cleaner and stuff to be able to make those videos in her spotless kitchen with immaculate hair and makeup and designer clothes. These women might have their own source of income from making content but the impressionable women who watch them don’t realise that if you give up everything to be a stay at home mom/wife/girlfriend and your husband turns out to be a bad egg, you are FUCKED. It’s different to deciding TOGETHER with your spouse that one of you should stay at home to raise the kids because it’s cheaper than childcare. It’s so regressive and insulting to women who fought so hard for women to be allowed to have careers and bank accounts and for shit like marital rape to be illegal. Anyway rant over
She’s got a point that a lot of people aren’t going to be happy to see made, but some of the fiercest misogynists I’ve ever met have been women. My mother in law for example cannot help herself but deride every other woman, peer or our age behind their back, be it a comment about their personality, ambition, weight, appearance. Have never once caught her doing the same about a man. And she genuinely believes she’s a feminist too
Time to move on from culture war, feminist, trans distractions. There’s real problems now, focus on those
