If the Hungarian people don’t want the rest of Europe to turn on them, they should turn on Orban ASAP. As it stands, Hungary is shaping up to be an enemy of Europe, not an ally. Hopefully this will be reversed soon.

Let’s be real even if the war ends tomorrow Ukraine won’t join EU by the end of the next decade.
But please can we please show Hungary the fucking door?

I’m ashamed of my government, hate them with everything I have as they are destroying our future. Almost my whole adult life so far has passed under complete f*desz rule and I’m sick of it.

Blocking yet another Ukraine-related step looks really bad on us. Minority rights however are a cornerstone of the EU, providing rights for our own citizens, this should be a basic thing. Hopefully Kyiv will be able to clear up the issues asap, and hopefully Orbán will not be a total c*nt and will not block the process anymore. (I know, wishful thinking…) And then finally, I hope Orbán will lose and we can finally have a normal government.

Let’s try to understand Hungary. Maybe they are scared, sad, alienated, afraid?

    5. Mmmmm, another great news, I wouldn’t envy the Ukrainians, great allies… wait a minute…

This is because they refused to add a separate section regarding minority rights in Ukraine

We should invite Orban to talk about this. In some high place. Near a window.

    8. France and Germany need to take the lead in the EU asap and set course for federal Europe. Whichever country is not on board is welcome to leave the ship. We’ll see how many are there that would actually do it, I reckon 0. The time for consulting a 10 million irrelevant nation like Hungary is over, otherwise we’re gonna be stuck talking for another 3 years while Putin is getting his army of 2 million orcs ready for another invasion.

Is there a mechanism to boot somebody out of the EU? I’m afraid Hungarys go to go.
