      According to the 2021 census 55.39% belong to or were brought up Catholic and 35.14% belong to or were brought up in a ‘Protestant and other (non-Catholic) Christian (including Christian related)’. So unless Randalstown has had a massive influx of Loyalists I’d say the GAA is very much welcome there

      I’m just impressed that the IRA is funding sports, I’m assuming they have an Arts wing.. kneecap probably gets a grant.

      Technically the stop symbol should be superimposed on the GAA and IRA text, not in the background. This sign could be read as the GAA and IRA are preferable to nothing.

      Randalstowm has two GAA clubs – Kickhams and Tir na Nog, with clubs flourishing nearby in previously unfertile territory. St Comgalls in Antrim town and St James’ in Aldergrove are thriving, and the county grounds in Antrim have been largely left alone, which these bigots will absolutely hate.

      GAA teams and facilities are doing well in far more hostile territory than Randalstown. Ballymena, Coleraine and Portadown being notable examples where the numbers playing have never been higher, abd sponsorship is coming from businesses that previously wouldn’t have touched anything GAA related.

      The bigots won’t win.

      I was delivering in that estate a while ago and saw a young black kid playing hurling on his own. I sat and watched in amazement at him and thought that ignorance was very bliss. I hope he’s still playing

      yet against Unionists showing incredible levels of Ignorance it makes me laugh cause Unionists are doing more to make a United Ireland happen then Sinn Fein ever could have

      they are doing this by showing themselves as so insanely hateful ignorant and incredibly backwards Cavemen completely out of touch with the 21st century and is driving more and more people towards a future United Ireland

      Though they’re probably working for the PSNI as an informer which rules it out the Loyalist or Loyalists responsible should face a severe sentence.

      Randalstown is right on Lough Neagh and a stones throw from Antrim area hospital . Lough Neagh is a complete mess and waiting lists to see specialists in the NHS are at an all time high .
      Yet this . More Brass Eye material .

      I work for supermacs, which is the fast food wing of the IRA. I can confirm that the GAA is the official sporting wing but the rights are up soon. Since Ireland’s success in the Olympics, rowing has indicated a keen interest in the cause. Id say they will put in a strong bid for the next 5 years.

      These huns will find anything to be offended by, they are so bitter they even want to block the Euros coming to Ireland because it would mean games at casement park, the injection of cash into the local economy with one of the biggest sporting events in the world is not even enough to entice them
