Probably tastes pretty rich, pre-recession and all.
2008 was a good harvest by all accounts. Definitely one to keep in the cellar and take out on a special occasion in a few years time.

Beer doesn’t really go bad, just the volatile compounds that make up the flavour and aroma break down over time. It’d be kind of interesting from that point of view as strong stouts are often aged. Can’t imagine it would taste great but I’d bet there would still be some of the brown malt still going.
I recently drank a can of Guinness I had been given, and which tasted fine ( as fine as a can can taste ). Rinsing the can out to put in the recycling, I noticed that it said on the can “ Guinness. Supporting world rugby 1999”.

I opened 2013 can of Heineken at my grand dads wake, it was just more brown that usual lager would be. Didn’t dare sip it even cos I was with my family and the slag I’d get would be ever lasting
