That would be fun to see The entrepreneurial Americans doing a nice arbitrage on Russian commodities.

    2. If US lifts all sanctions on Russia, that would include their reserves in USD. That would be around $67 billion that Russia can access which most likely would be used to rebuild their millitary.

Also all secondary sanctions would go too.

I will be like Baba Vanga and predict future reaction of the US: “Why Europe is hurting themselves? Sanctions aren’t working! See, we lifted sanctions and feel so much better! Yes, Elon? Yes, Donny!”

Inevitable when “they are eating the dogs” spreading, pizzagate promoting, Tucker/Alex Jones lovers take over the helm.

Is anyone surprised? There’s more to come.

I just wanna remind redditors that it is not for this guy to decide, but for heads of states of the EU, and if any one of them blocked this decision, sanctions would be lifted. So at this point it is just a white noise from the guy who decides nothing. And now you can downvote me as hard as you can, because there’s nothing else you can do when you don’t like the truth.

The US won’t buy oil and gas from Russia. China and India will only do it with a discount. Europe used to be the cash cow. Just look at Gazprom’s latest financials.

Good time for USA companies catch the Russian market. EU stepping back by them selfies, easy catch. No gas, no fertilizers, no metals, no nuclear materials supply, banned wood purchase… not sure EU will ever been compete again wo Russia.

At this point, I dont think Russia cares lol. The sanctions are hitting Europe moreso than Russia, so why would they give a fuck?

Europe keeps cutting off their nose to spite their face.

Americas betrayal does not mean Canada, the United Kingdom and the EU will betray Ukraine

The value of EU + UK exports to Russia before the sanctions is worth about $200bn/year. This top official isn’t the decision maker and I suspect once the U.S lifts sanctions, there will be pressure among some member states to follow suit. The EU exported a lot of cars, machinery, chemicals and other food products to Russia before the war and there is a believe that the longer it continues to self impose sanctions, China will fill in the entire void along with local Russian substitutes. The likes of BYD, Huawei etc are all entering the Russian market at the expense of EU competitors such as Mercedes, BMW etc which were quite popular in Russia.

European nations have existed long before the 13 Colonies even considered breaking away. Hopefully, this signals a rediscovery of the strength, conviction, and political independence that has been missing for the past 50+ years, as we’ve often followed whatever the US decides is right.

Really? Well seeing as how you’ve shown us recently, that you have no spine. I stick with “I’ll believe it when I see it”.

What would be the efficiency of European’s sanctions without US backing them?

If Russians can use USD and the Swift system again, what would be the real usefulness of European sanctions beyond Russian assets being frozen?
