Their sacrifice in 2014 was the spark that began Ukraine’s ongoing fight for freedom, dignity, and European values.

Their courage lives on. As Ukraine continues to defend itself against Russian aggression, we stand not only for our country but for the security and future of all Europe.

I knew it was bad but it was even worse than I thought. Wow.

I was born in China, and my parents were part of the nationwide protests back in 1989 (it wasn’t just confined to Beijing). What I try to tell people is that the Maidan wasn’t a coup unlike what Russian propagandists and morons say. It was what would have happened if the 1989 protests succeeded and the entire CCP is sent packing to the USSR or North Korea. You guys overcame incredible odds where as the Chinese people had unfortunately been broken.

Imagine surviving the Holodomor only to be murdered by the Berkut. Even as an old man, at least Nakonechnyi died to make a better future for the next generation of Ukrainians. Вічна пам’ять героям
