Open source solutions like Firefox are great to start with and don’t require much effort of getting used to. Google as a search engine can be replaced by solutions like Startpage, Qwant, Ecosia, … For messengers there is Signal or Threema. However, replacing social media in general is difficult because of the network effect, the only thing I can think of as a Twitter alternative is Mastodon, but there isn’t much going on, last time I checked, it was pretty empty. Mail providers can be replaced with services like Proton, but of course, there are many, many others.
Not web browser but engine. There are many to make better and replace Google

It’s a bit off-topic but just in these days I was having such ANGER with Google Removals.
Such a blatant shameless lack of integrity.
They remove any review just because a restaurant owner report it as defamation, and you have to go through a long, tedious, repetitive, confusing process to appeal, and even after you PROVE with legal information that there was o defamation, they simply answer “we’ll not do anything about it” and the review stays blocked.
Their support community is full of this s…
