The Trump administration is a foreign asset actively dismantling the US Federal government with the goal of permanently weakening the United States and looting its wealth. The need to act is immediate.

All who refuse to serve Putin can help Ukraine urgently defend itself by donating directly to Ukraine’s armed forces right now at https://u24.gov.ua/

      No shit, Sherlock.
Sorry to be rude, but could you state the obvious more.

I am no intelligence officer but I can confirm this. Betraying Ukraine is betraying the USA the same way that giving up USAid is an invite to russia and China to globally take over.

Hopefully, his betrayal will eventually have terrible consequences for his dirty orange face.

Your government is an agent of Putin. Why Trump, a man who sits on a better army, economy, and is more powerful than Putin, can’t see that he shouldn’t be beholden to the Kremlin Cum Catcher is beyond me!

I completely agree with everything said here. Now the challenge is to get this same article posted somewhere other than MSNBC and Reddit. I fear it is preaching to the choir. The NY Post saw the light this week on Ukraine with their cover story calling out Putin as the real dictator (not Zelensky, as Trump said) – perhaps the author could do an OpEd there? We need all sides to understand how bad this really is.

NATO is currently preparing for a potential war with russia. Without US.

I like how the author at the end equates America First with America the Betrayer

    8. This is about so much more than just Trump bullying Ukraine. He started off by threatening his neighbors (Mexico, Canada) and allies (NATO).

This man is on a mission to deal as much damage as possible to the US public image, only to isolate it from the world, so he can reign supreme.
Which conveniently aligns with literally all of Putins goals.

    9. It’s all very well to wave around “Trump is working for Putin” but if you want real ammo to make that argument to friends and family, read Timothy Snyder’s book “The Road to Unfreedom.”

I don’t know TS personally but he has a good rep and his book was a revelation to me. he brings receipts, dates, names. the history of Putin’s rise to power and the history of Putin’s courtship of Trump. going back to the 1980s.

it’s worth your time. don’t be put off by the academic historian’s flowery theoretical language around a “politics of inevitability” and a “politics of eternity”. dig right in to the actual *facts* being presented. the actual batshit-crazy *quotes* from Russian historians/philosophers in whom Putin finds inspiration. the unhinged racialised and sexualised anti-American *rhetoric* of Putin and his party. and the long, long *history* of Trump’s entanglement with Russian oligarchs and Putin himself.

it could not be clearer. it may not explain everything but it explains a whole lot.

this article also doesn’t get old

though the CEO of Politico sure seems sketchy as of this last week, they were doing good reporting back then.

Turkey’s cautious attitude towards USA makes lot of sense now.

They realized years ago Washington does not make a reliable ally and boosted their own military industrial.

I wish Europe did the same.

    12. The only time when the westerner can speak truth or smth sane – it is when he is “former” somebody: “Former general”, “former politician”, “former CIA officer”, etc.

Yup, that sums it up for me. A US ‘intelligence’ office posts their options to Reddit… soooo Intelligent, you should join Mossad

America betrays everyone in the end. South Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, and now Ukraine. We don’t have permanent allies, just permanent interests.

Have you Magats finally realized that “America First” really means “Trump First?”
When you feel like “We” are “winning” take a look at your benefits vs his benefits. He doesn’t give a flying fuck about your uneducated hillbilly ass.

It can still be that Trump is acting this way to get as a favorable deal on minerals as possible. Let’s hope. (I have hated Trump for >11 years in case anyone believes that I’m a supporter).

I doesn’t take much intelligence to come to this conclusion… which is an indicator of Trumps intelligence.

We’ve betrayed a lot of brown people and managed to make it through because of other brown people not having other options. Once you betray your own and they have options then you are alone.
