Dingenen started his media carreer at BRT where he portrayed ‘small consumer’ Frans Dingemans in the Radio 2 show ‘Het Genootschap’. In the much acclaimed Meester Hij Begint Weer, he introduced the Belgian TV audience to among others Ianka Fleerackers Bart De Pauw, Danny Timmermans and Jacques Vermeire and himself played the part of the hapless math teacher and class head André Buys.

As a singer/producer/songwriter he enjoyed successes with novelty songs parodying popular culture like “Allez Maurice” about the Belgian cyclist scene, “[De nies in de neus](https://youtu.be/maP2rdWSICM)” and “Samen in de file”.
