I think reasonable people know he’s not. And Trump supporters may not belong in that category, hence this article won’t change their minds.

    2. AngrySnwMnky on

If he were a dictator he would be Trump’s best friend.

    3. Goal-Final on

The stupid orange turd was asked yesterday, in the meeting with Macron, if Putin is a dictator and said something like I can’t characterize someone so easily lol. Fuck Trump, Fuck MAGA like always.

    4. Yes, also the sky is blue, bears do shit in the woods and Trump supporters have single digit IQs.

    5. johnny_cash777 on

How is he a dictator if he was chosen by his people. putin on the other hand is 20+ years in his chair and Trump sees no problems with that

    6. Youngflyabs on

I never seen a dictator willingly accept to leave their position in exchange for peace. Please forgive America for our idiot president (Might even be an insult to idiots) for spewing Russian propaganda

    7. shinxshin on

Feel the need to post this in a fking europe subredit? Go post in russia if there is one

    8. UpstairsAd5526 on

It’s said there even needs to be an opinion piece to prove this.

    9. Considering his politocal don’t get arrested or killed under misterioso circumstances, the clear answer to this article is “No shit Sherlock”.

Sadly the Putin apologists will shove their head in the sand and scream otherwise.

He isn’t. But the news source, National Post, is a terrible Canadian newspaper that supports Pierre Poilievre to be the next PM of Canada – who – until the tariff threats was completely aligned with alt right figures.

    11. CostumeJuliery on

Of course he’s not. The whole world knows this. The only ones who don’t are the MAGA supporters in the US ….and frankly, F them.

The 2024 United Kingdom general election was held on Thursday, 4 July 2024, to elect 650 members of Parliament to the House of Commons, the lower house of the Parliament of the United Kingdom

So far, all the actual evidence points towards Zelensky being an honorable public servant. He represents Ukrainian’s national interests in good-faith, and is a properly elected official.

    14. Stoepboer on

Thanks for confirming. Wasn’t sure after the orange überlord said otherwise.

    15. arunasgeimeriz on

and nazis were bad :O!!! in all seriousness though, what’s your point with this?

    16. Clayton_Goldd on

I’m surprised that National Post allowed this to be published. They are a fake Canadian PostMedia rag that is heavy on the maple-maga politics. Usually they only allow anti Trudeau, or pro Trump/PP editorials.

    17. JarJarBot-1 on

The notion that he is a dictator is absurd. How could the country even have elections when their country is a battlefield?

    18. MuskyJim on

What?! But the guy known for lying constantly said he was, are you sure?

Volodymyr Zelensky. The leader who said, *“I need ammo, not a ride,”* as Russian tanks neared Kyiv. Who fought for F-16s while NATO feared *“escalation.”* Who turned teachers and bakers into a force that humbled Putin’s *“second-strongest army.”* Who lifted a nation’s spirit with hoodies and defiant videos while Russian death squads hunted him. Who, despite assassination attempts, walked the frontlines, declaring:

*”We won’t lay down our weapons. We will defend our land because our weapon is the truth, and our truth is that this is our land, our homeland, and our children, and we will defend it.”*

On the other side: Trump and Putin, cowardly kings of geopolitical theater.
Putin, the tyrant cowering behind oversized tables, terrified of COVID, his generals, his own citizens, afraid of a world that no longer fears him. Trump, the “anti-war president” who hid in a bunker from BLM protesters, his bravery peaking at CAPS LOCK tweets about *“WINNING”* while dodging accountability for the Capitol riots.

Zelensky visits frontline cities: Irpin, Bucha, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv.
Putin cowers in a gilded bunker, fearing “NATO expansion” as his generals erase Wagner mercenaries. Trump rants on Truth Social about “strong men,” evading blame for the Capitol riots while excusing Putin’s murders.

**They pretend** to be leaders. **Zelensky is** a leader.

Zelensky says: *“If my departure brings peace, I’ll step down for NATO membership.”* Notice: he sacrifices no land, no people, no principles, just his own power. What “warmonger” does that? What “puppet” risks everything for peace?

Meanwhile, on Facebook and X: Western pseudo-intellectuals, warm and comfortable, spout empty “anti-war” talk and parrot Kremlin lies.
      *“Yeah, but both sides!”*

No. Shut up with your ignorant nonsense.

One side slits pregnant women’s throats in Bucha; **the other buries its murdered children.**
One side steals thousands of children to brainwash them; **the other fights to get them home.**
One side bombs theaters filled with fleeing families; **the other digs through rubble with bare hands.**
One side targets rockets at maternity wards; **the other digs mass graves for loved ones.**

You idolize dictators’ “honesty” because your life is so empty you crave fake drama. Your “critical thinking” is a masquerade, an excuse to hide your insecurities behind conspiracies and “both sides” whining.

This is the same shit we’re been dealing with in Canada when we’ve tried to countering the bullshit out of Trumps mouth. The issue is that nothing seems to shut him or his channels down. It’s like they are all ruled by emotions above real facts.

    21. Calm-Page-2241 on

Obviously. Else he would work side by side with Putin instead of fighting him. The whole war is just to protect the interests of the ukrainian People. If he would be a dictator as Putin, he’d no reason to care for the people. He’d just make deals for himself as some other orange man…

    22. Bob_Spud on

The UK did not have general elections between 1935 -1945 because of WW2. They only had elections after Hitler was dead.

According the logic coming from the Trump and his crew that makes Winston Churchill a dictator.
