Tre croci sulla collina sul lato sinistro della strada, vicino a Zavrč, qual è la storia dietro di essa?

Yesterday I was driving from Zavrč towards Ptuj down the river and saw 3 crosses on the left on a little hill. This picture was stuck with me the whole day and I was thinkkng, what is the story behind it? 

Sorry guys for the previous post, yesterday I was talking croatian the whole day, Slovenians were talking Slovenian and we got along just fine! 😀

I will respect voice of people and thread as well, completely forgot about it) and will write it in english, not problem at all! 

What old people were saying about this field is that a lot of Croatians were buried after the war there. Thousands they said, and many villagers had to help burry them. It was said so shallow, that farmer could never grow anything else than grass there, because bones would come out. I know that in recent years they were checking there something, and placed those crosses there.
