Yesterday I was driving from Zavrč towards Ptuj down the river and saw 3 crosses on the left on a little hill. This picture was stuck with me the whole day and I was thinkkng, what is the story behind it?

What old people were saying about this field is that a lot of Croatians were buried after the war there. Thousands they said, and many villagers had to help burry them. It was said so shallow, that farmer could never grow anything else than grass there, because bones would come out. I know that in recent years they were checking there something, and placed those crosses there.
