Tonight we saw the ugly face of the authoritarian regime in washington. And how dangerous an attack on free speech is and what it inevitably leads to.

      The EU must act now

The US is no longer a partner of democracy and the free west. Social media based in the US should be banned because of the terrorist interference that endangers free speech. In general, US tech companies should be denied access to the European market because of their support of the authoritarian regime in Washington.

“Zelensky must find a way to restore relationship with Trump, Nato chief tells BBC“ 🙃

    3. Local_Ad2569 on

NATO is de facto dead. It will soon be so also on paper. America has been infiltrated by russian intelligence at the highest levels.

The attempt to appease Trump will never succeed, no matter how much more we spend buying american weapons, no matter what tariffs the EU takes on the chin, no matter what compromises we reach, because the ultimate goal of Russia is to destroy NATO and the EU, to incorporate Ukraine, the Baltic states and Moldova into greater Russia, to extend their zone of influence in Poland (they already have Hungary), Slovakia, Czechia and in the distant future to reach the other slavic nations in Europe, the Balkans. And now, through whatever dirt or material they have on Trump (Krasnov), they own the White House. They will not stop until they reach this goal. It may not be tomorrow, but in 20-30-50 years, this will be accomplished. And the rest of the great powers of Europe (Germany, France, UK, Spain, Italy, etc.) will become museums. Visiting spots. Until they decide they want to see how’s the weather there.

The only option to secure an EU future is for EU nations to have nuclear rockets, if not ICBMs. Armament factories in the EU should already be running 3 shifts, 7 days a week. Wake up. Become aggressive. Any Ukrainian sacrificial offering is just a postponement of what is already in the plans.

Another option is to attract Canada and Greenland in the EU, and to cover Ukraine’s back: everything on the left side of Dnipro under EU protection, boots on the ground and no flight zone in that area. Let the war happen on the right side of the Dnipro, let Ukraine free its soldiers from the northern border and protect Ukraine from any Belarusian attack there.

And in light of recent statement by NATO chief Mark Rutte, who claims Trump has done so much for Ukraine, no sir, that was the Biden administration, get your facts straight. E-universe seems to be jading your perception 💰

    5. AlienOverlordXenu on

US is turning inwards, from this year forward they only care about their own interests, and are no longer willing to be world policeman. They are just another big power.

So EU should adjust its expectations accordingly. However, USA also no longer gets to boss us around. We’re becoming adults after decades of stunted development. First steps are always scary.

    6. Nurnurum on

Rutte said otherwise. And my forecast for the next days is, that other leaders will say similar things.

    7. Icy_Collar_1072 on

BBC reporting is hopeless, they can simply flick back through tweets and interviews from the past 2-3 years to see how regularly Trump & Vance are lob insults and abuse in Zelenskyy and Ukraine’s direction.

    8. garibanburjuva on

Europeans, pressure your governments to increase military spending. This is not the time to be pacifist

    9. No_Detail9259 on

      The banned site is reporting.

The White House has announced that there will be no more aid to Ukraine.

    10. Positronitis on

Indeed, the political Western world just lost the US.

With the US out, it’s now time and possible to give democratic Lat-Am its rightful place in the West.

    11. pijem_vino_in_pivo on

“In god we trust, all others pay in US dollars”. This allows US to have such big public debt.

      We no longer trust US.

    12. gabrielxdesign on

The US is no longer an ally to anyone but Putin. Don’t forget they began threatening Canada, Mexico and Panama. It’s United Soviet America now.

    13. pathetic-maggot on

Why is this the point where ”US is no longer an ally” like i thought it was a clear thing already when trump had a meeting with putin and sold ukraine or how about when he threatened denmark.

I guess better late then never but weird how now everyone is saying it.

    14. Ok-Presentation-4147 on

Not ally but enemy under Putin obedient student and republican blind leaders.

    15. TheTanadu on

US is an ally. US under Russian agent Trump isn’t. The faster they’ll get rid off this… person… the better for future of US on international stage. Now they lose credibility.

    16. UnoStronzo on

We’ve known that for weeks, so now let’s detach from that shit hole country

    17. Silly_Triker on

Despite what some cheap tweets might say, you need to look at what European leaders are actually saying and doing. They are all rolling out the red carpet for Trump whilst making PR statements about Ukraine for easy political points with the domestic audience.

They know how to handle the media and public perception very well.

    18. krishandler on

So much for being the leaders of the free world. Germany will do a good job. Can’t be a leader if no one will follow you 😉

    19. Opinions_arentfacts_ on

That’s not really fair. It’s just trump who’s aligned with putin, not the entire US. Relations will normalise again when trump is no longer president.

But for now, the West needs to be able to function without the US

    20. cleanSlicer on

Yep I wouldn’t trust the fucking morons in charge or listening to the fucking idiots

    22. Plexus84 on

Don’t count on NATO when China and all the other long term US antagonist come to say hi!

    23. DearBenito on

If I were Sweden or Poland, I’d consider speedrunning a nuclear program. Nuclear non-proliferation is dead anyway

    24. mulchedeggs on

Deport all Russians living in EU and send the Americans home.

    25. Jealous-Hedgehog-734 on

I’d just point out that the US has never had any formal obligation to the Ukraine, they never guaranteed Ukrainian security and where not involved with supplying arms during the previous Crimea or Donbas invasions in 2014. Supplying arms and munitions was purely done on a voluntary basis.

This is a substantially different scenario to a NATO country being invaded and some of the comments I’ve seen seem to be conflating these.

That said if doing so finally gets Europe taking defence seriously and allocating budget accordingly I’m not complaining. Europeans will likely need to spool up new domestic production because since the beginning of the war existing production capacity has been sold out for a very long time now.

    26. BudSpencerCA on

Man, it feels that’s what Europe needed – a serious and common threat! Let’s go 🇪🇺

    27. HappyArkAn on

Good luck USA. Here is something for U. *Guillotine.gif*. Use it wisely.

    28. America doesn’t have friends. It has “interests”. We’re that sociopath asshole you met at a party one time in college and you got weird vibes from. He kept talking about guns and the middle east and you wanted no part of it. That’s who we are.

    29. MissLunaFindom1 on

Perhaps we should start closing US bases. They will come around real quick.

    30. NumberCalm2342 on

I don’t know how someone can be so foolish. Trump is achieving the opposite of what he intends. Instead of making America strong, he’s driving away an important partner. He forgets that China is already ahead in Latin America and Africa. Isolating Europe won’t benefit him. The dispute with Zelensky was also staged to publicly justify his good relationship with Putin. Europe needs a strong response toward independence from this increasingly unreliable country.

    31. Extrabigman on

      – Be USA
      – Stir shit all over the world
      – encourages wild globalization, weakening European economy
      – paid for OTAN’s budget to protect it’s interests
      – now, complains and rewrite history to befriend dictators and shit in teh face of ” allies ”

I don’t say Europe is not to blame with it’s weak diplomacy, but it’s impressive how USA has short memory. Typical conservative hypocrisy

    32. Affectionate_Ask5928 on

As Easter European I want US and EU to have strong relationship. But the entitlement of Europe is sickening. Give give give….more more…oh and Americans are fat morons. Fuck Trump..bla bla….really? And for some reason Zelensky thought this entitlement would work also.
Here is a question for thought – So we think US should support Europe and maybe if needed sent their troops to fight Russia. A country on the other side of Atlantic. So let’s say China starts conflict in Pacific region US should expect Europeans to pay billions into that war and also send troops half way around the world, right? Does anyone believe that?
EU have been freeloading for decades. 9 out of 32 Nato countries don’t spend 2% on defense and yet yesterday a lot of them said they stand with Ukraine. Europe is still buying Russian gas. UK has only 75k active duty military. I doubt they will get their act together and actually take security seriously. Are we ready to pay 4 or 5% on defense? And cut welfare state or raise taxes?
      I doubt it…

    33. Cybernaut-Neko on

Yes and that’s why there can be NO US/Ukraine deal if Ukraine wants full EU support. This has been an issue from the start.

    34. Stating the obvious. I’ve served in Afghanistan with Americans. I’ve long regretted my military service, but I retained my American friends. Talking to one of them and hearing him gleefully agree with this behaviour, it has been quite eye-opening.

    35. ComfortableCar9782 on

Europe needs to pull away from the US now. Europe and NATO will get on without them. They are now under a dictatorship! That fact that they were the only one to agree with Russia and N Korea in the UN says everything!

    36. Only-Cancel-1023 on

Ironically jumping on to this narrative, that Europe and the USA is no longer allied and perhaps even enemies in some regards, is exactly what Putin and Russia would want us to do.

The division between USA and Europe plays straight into Russias interests.

Yes we can’t currently trust the security guarantee in NATO and have to act accordingly.

But it is in Europe’s interest to keep the USA close and keep ties with the people there that think differently than the trumpists.

If the Baltics are attacked in 2-10 years, maybe the USA will not engage. But we should try everything we reasonably can to maximise the likelihood of them honouring article 5 in the NATO treaty, and that means not pushing them further away.

    37. Realistic-Day-8931 on

Yah, no longer an ally of anyone it seems except one person.

    38. Washington, D.C., having defeated the Soviet menace in 1991 only to have Russians conquer it in 2025, is currently not your ally, yes.

Tens of millions of us voted otherwise. Our population is comparable to the size of Deutschland itself. We are still your allies. We are still your friends. We still donate to UNITED24 and condemn the traitors to our Republic.

While we figure out how to reclaim our country within the legal framework and our constitutional rights, I call upon our European brethren to do whatever it takes to support us in our struggle here.

Do not think that Washington’s talk of invading Greenland and Canada while betraying our allies and embracing our sworn enemies in the Russian Federation is taken lightly here. I condemn it. I will not stand for it. I am loyal to the Republic, to NATO, and to Ukraine.

    39. Secret_Photograph364 on

Yep. I’m a dual citizen of Ireland and the US, the US is absolutely not a reliable ally.

      Buy European.
