You did read that it was produced in East Prussia, which isn’t German anymore since *checks notes* 1945?
One could simply replicate the taste by buying black currant juice and making wine out of it.
I think when we celebrated my grandad’s 16th birthday, which must have been in 1929, my niece bought a round for everyone. It was fruity and very refreshing in summer.
