      Never thought that’d be a sentence I’d type without the /s, but here we are. At least their people keep their politicians in check.

      I really hope there will be a French nuclear umbrella over Europe. It is no easy or cheap task to achieve but I consider it a must in order to avoid a larger war in Europe.

      Good. The Brits abd the French are bith needed in a European Alliance. Other countries need to develop nukes as well, preferable with both air launch and land launch platforms, to complete the trial of deterrence by land, sea and air.

      France are the ones to spearhead this.. and I say this as an Englishman.
      Their nuclear capacity is pretty much the main deterrent vs Russia now (and our nuclear Subs)

      We are all Gaullists now. And that includes those of us who are Americans who are opposed to Trump’s embrace of authoritarianism.

      That being said, the UK and France already have nukes. Europeans need their own massive conventional defense force. That includes abundant ground forces, surface to air missiles
      and drones.

      You need to arm up, and fast. As a supporter of the Pax Americana, I never expected to say that. But you cannot and should not trust the United States anymore.

      I really now have far more trust in France than USA. My pro-American sentiment died with first and second term of Trump as a president of USA.

      A good place to start would be to have European countries participate in exercise Poker. Either as support or as the red team defending the area to be fake nuked.

      We should concentrate on making countries that border Russia as difficult to invade as possible. Russia doesn’t have magic weapons and can’t jump over defences.

      We also need weapons like Himars which can quickly be moved and fire on any Russian troops trying to invade.

      Nukes are far too powerful to be used without destroying the planet. I don’t believe they would be used if they try and invade another Baltic country. They would only be used if Russia fired first.

      We have time to make sure Russia can’t simply invade another country. Let’s not keep wasting it.

      The EU need nukes under there own control. If those national idiots in France would win in the future they would just Backstep everything and we are back to step one.

      That said, If Europe were a federation. Macron for president! He has been a step a head since the beginning. Sure, his national policies may not been the most popular. But in these chaotic times we need to look at Europe first, and at that, Macron has always been a European nationalist.

      Long live Europe!

      If he is honest about this and not only seeking to grow France as a regional power he should be sharing the technology with the rest of European allies so we can all defend ourselves and as a whole.

      I do not think trump got that much vote in the USA. It is the largest scam that happened in the world so far with the help of putin.
