For background, these are short-range ground-launched anti-air missiles which would be used in Ukraine to stop Shaheed drones and subsonic cruise missiles targetting Ukrainian cities.
5,000 of these comparatively cheap missiles will free up more expensive ones to be retained for faster and more dangerous Russian missiles.
They are being paid for by a loan from the UK to Ukraine, which is funded by the interest on frozen Russian assets.
